Keeping your pet happy and healthy.
Our Quality of Life program is, in short, a palliative care program. And is available and encouraged for anyone with a pet that has an ongoing or terminal illness with the purpose of helping monitor the standard of health, comfort, and happiness of your pet.
In one-on-one monthly consults (or more frequently if needed) with a dedicated vet or nurse, we help with managing pain, providing medical support, respite care and empathy as your pet requires, either in-clinic – or – if it suits our clients better, over the phone.
We have a checklist that we work through at each visit, where clients rank out of 1- 10 (one being awful and 10 optimal) what they believe their pet is at the current time.
We ask you to rank 1 – 10:
- Comfort
- Appetite
- Thirst (Hydration)
- Cleanliness (Hygiene)
- Happiness
- Mobility
- More good than bad
And then we tally up the score so as to easily compare to previous or future visits to see where your pet may be improving or declining.
We also like to address any areas of concern that you may be having. We know that having a pet who is diagnosed with a condition that requires this program is stressful, and we want to alleviate as much of that stress as we can.
We find our Quality of Life a very important program, so as people can have their beloved pets living happy and comfortable lives for as long as possible.
We treat you and your pets as family.
